Exchange Online / Microsoft 365 Administrator

We manage a hybrid Exchange environment connecting on-prem Exchange 2019 to Exchange Online, with 1,200+ mailboxes in a multi-domain tenant spanning three verified domains, multiple email address policies, and complex transport rules. We need someone who knows exactly which cmdlet to reach for when a user reports their calendar delegate stopped working.

Responsibilities

• — Administer hybrid Exchange deployment: HCW configuration, connector management, mailbox migration batches, free/busy coexistence
• — Manage Exchange Online Protection, Defender for Office 365, anti-phish policies, safe links/safe attachments
• — Own transport rule management: DLP policy templates, S/MIME enforcement, disclaimer rules, journaling to third-party archive
• — Administer Exchange Online PowerShell: mailbox management, RBAC role groups, mailbox folder permissions, audit logging
• — Manage Teams admin center: voice routing, calling policies, auto attendants, call queues
• — Administer Microsoft 365 Groups, shared mailboxes, resource mailboxes, and Public Folder coexistence
• — Write automation scripts for user provisioning and license management using MS Graph PowerShell SDK

Requirements

• — 5+ years of Exchange administration (on-prem, hybrid, and EXO)
• — Expert-level Exchange PowerShell — you can write a script to find every mailbox with a broken delegate permission in one pipeline
• — Experience with hybrid migration from Exchange 2016/2019 to Exchange Online
• — Understanding of SMTP, DKIM, DMARC, SPF, and mail flow troubleshooting
• — Knowledge of Defender for Office 365 — Threat Explorer, automated investigation, attack simulation
• — Comfortable with Microsoft Graph API and MS Graph PowerShell for cross-workload automation

Nice to Have

• — MS-203 or MS-220 certification
• — Experience with compliance features: eDiscovery (Standard and Premium), retention policies, communication compliance
• — Knowledge of third-party email security gateways (Mimecast, Proofpoint)
• — Familiarity with Active Directory attributes that drive Exchange: proxyAddresses, mailNickname, legacyExchangeDN
